Our fall western training camps went off without a hitch, the U16 team was in Sun Peaks with coaches Jurg and Rob while Sami, Liisa, Chris and Doug were with the FIS athletes in Nakiska. All are now home safely and we are now well into a block of virtual classes and dry land as we wait for our local hills to open and look forward to being back on snow as soon as provincial restrictions are lifted. If the global pandemic has taught us all anything, it is how to be flexible.
Classes and dry land training continue via remote learning and we are offering some great virtual Wellness Workshops to our community on topics such as “Digital Intelligence” and “Brain Foods & Stress Solutions”.
As always, the Board and leadership team at the NSA continue to stay informed with respect to COVID-19 updates and directives from federal and local officials, as well as medical experts. We will continue to follow their guidance for the 2020-21 academic year, training and competition season.
