What is the best thing that can happen to you this year?

Learn to race like I train, and get to the Canada games.

What gets you pumped up at the race start?

I try and relax by talking to friends around the start gate, and then when I get in the gate, I think about what I need to do on the course and go.

What's your favourite meal before a race?

Steak and mashed potatoes the night before, and oatmeal in the morning.

What is the worst thing your parents can say to you at the bottom of a race course?

Nothing

Why did you choose the NSA?

I chose the NSA because I had attended regular high school before, and had trouble keeping work and skiing balanced, and the academy seemed like a great way to improve my skiing and still be able to concentrate on school.

Who is your ski racing role model and why?

My ski role model is Hermann Maier. He's my role model above all other skiers because no matter how many times he's been injured he always gets up and keeps fighting. He is ranked among the best skiers of all time, and his quality to keep doing what he loves is what made me really like him as a kier and a person.
